  • $2,700 Weekly (Based on Experience) Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join a leading healthcare organization for a travel assignment.
The Mammography Technologist will perform screening and diagnostic breast imaging procedures while providing exceptional patient care and ensuring compliance with all imaging, radiation safety, and quality standards. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with radiologists and multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Responsibilities Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols. Position patients accurately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Operate and maintain digital mammography equipment according to manufacturer and facility guidelines. Review images for quality, accuracy, and completeness prior to submission for radiologist interpretation. Assist radiologists with breast imaging procedures, including stereotactic and ultrasound-guided biopsies when applicable. Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within the electronic medical record system. Adhere to radiation safety, infection prevention, MQSA, and quality assurance standards. Educate patients regarding procedures and address questions or concerns professionally. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support optimal patient outcomes. Participate in departmental quality improvement and patient safety initiatives. Required Qualifications Education Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Certifications & Licensure Active state license as required by the facility. Current ARRT (M) Certification required. Current BLS Certification required. Experience Minimum one (1) year of recent Mammography experience preferred. Experience with digital mammography equipment required. Breast imaging and biopsy experience preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of mammography imaging techniques and breast anatomy. Familiarity with MQSA regulations and radiation safety practices. Excellent patient care and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and image quality standards. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team. Proficiency with electronic medical records and imaging documentation systems.
