Job Description
Position Overview We are currently seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing high-quality mammography procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory standards. You will play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care within the women's health imaging department. Key Responsibilities Perform mammography exams in accordance with department protocols and radiologist guidance Ensure the daily operation of the women's health imaging section Maintain compliance with FDA guidelines and accreditation standards Conduct quality assurance (QA) checks and schedule preventive maintenance Review patient history, verify orders, and obtain informed consent Educate patients about procedures and provide high-quality care Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records (EHR) Support audits, inspections, and quality improvement initiatives Troubleshoot imaging equipment and coordinate maintenance when needed Assist with training and development of staff when required Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program ARRT certification in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or obtained within 90 days) Strong knowledge of mammography imaging procedures and safety standards (ALARA) Preferred Qualifications 2+ years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist Experience with PACS, RIS/HIS, and electronic medical records Cross-training in other imaging modalities (CT, MRI, DEXA) is a plus Key Skills Strong attention to detail and patient care Ability to work independently and within a team Excellent communication and organizational skills Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement Why Join Us?
