Full Job Description General Description:
Under the direct supervision of the Radiology Manager, the Radiology Tech Aide assists the technologist(s) by providing support with patient preparation for exams, transporting patients, room readiness, assistance in preparing CD requests, and data correction in PACS. The Aide consistently maintains patient confidentiality and demonstrates professionalism, skills and ability to work with patients of all ages.
Responsibilities :
Escorts patients to and from the x-ray department. Assists in preparing room appropriately for exams and cleaning equipment between patients. Responsible for all CD image requests. Maintains accurate log of imaging completed. Prints daily merging reports for assigned location (May be asked to handle the radiology department importing). Restocks supplies in exam rooms at scheduled location. Adjusts work routine to accommodate patient or department needs. Maintains a clean and well-organized work area at all times. Attends scheduled staff meetings. May be asked to performs other duties within the department, as needed.
Qualifications:
One year in a healthcare setting, preferably radiology, but willing to provide training for the right applicant. Strong communication skills (written and oral). Must have a working knowledge of personal computers. Must be highly organized, detail-focused, and have strong people skills.
