Based on Experience & CredentialingCountryside Veterinary Hospital is looking to add a skilled Veterinary Technician to our growing team in Shelton, CT. We are a busy, established small animal practice committed to delivering high-quality medicine and exceptional patient care in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Position ResponsibilitiesAssist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and outpatient appointmentsCollect patient histories and communicate effectively with pet ownersAdminister medications, vaccines, and treatments as directedPerform venipuncture, catheter placement, and IV/SQ injectionsPrepare patients for procedures and support treatment area workflowAssist with surgical preparation and patient recovery when neededEducate clients on at-home care and discharge instructionsMaintain accurate records and support hospital efficiency throughout the dayIdeal Candidate QualificationsMinimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience preferredProficient in venipuncture and medication administrationComfortable managing appointments/rooms independentlyStrong patient care and client communication skillsSurgical prep/anesthesia knowledge is a plusLVT/CVT required for anesthesia and surgical monitoring dutiesReliable, team-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced settingWhat We OfferFour 10-hour weekday shiftsNo weekendsSupportive and collaborative hospital cultureOpportunities for continued learning and skill developmentConsistent schedule promoting work-life balance
