Work Location:
Northern Virginia, Washington DC and Maryland area (specific openings will vary based on when applying)
Work Hours:
PRN, part-time and full-time available
Position Highlights:
Paid training in mammography with industry leader in women's healthcare Employment guaranteed following passing mammography registry Here is what you will need: Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography; If student, must be in you final semester of Radiologic Technology program An interest in training in mammography as an advanced modality Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology; Ability to stand for long periods of time A Day in the Life of a
Mammography Technologist Trainee:
Trains with their preceptor to consistently practice excellent mammography positioning and exposure technique; Learns to prepare for and assist the Radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies. Learns to produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate. Develops the ability to effectively communicate to patients the procedures and educate women about the role of regular mammography in preventative breast health; Maintains patient-first focus and exhibits outstanding customer service skills Why Washington Radiology? Compensation:
Depends on Experience
