This nationally recognized hospital is certified as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center by The Joint Commission, designated as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, and accredited as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Program by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. The facility provides advanced diagnostic and specialty care for patients across all stages of life. The CT Technologist performs a wide range of computed tomography imaging procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations, from newborns to geriatric patients. This role is responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images that assist physicians in identifying and evaluating a variety of medical conditions. The position also includes preparing patients for examinations, obtaining consent, explaining procedures, and ensuring a safe and comfortable experience while maintaining the highest standards of imaging quality and patient care.
Responsibilities:
Perform CT imaging procedures following physician orders and departmental protocols. Operate CT equipment to obtain accurate, high-quality diagnostic images. Prepare patients for examinations and clearly explain imaging procedures. Verify patient identity and obtain appropriate consent prior to imaging. Position patients correctly to ensure optimal image quality while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare team members to support timely diagnosis and treatment. Maintain accurate documentation and imaging records. Follow radiation safety standards and infection prevention protocols. Ensure imaging equipment is functioning properly and report any maintenance concerns.
Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of CT Technologist experience required. Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification required. Current State Registered Radiologic Technician or Registered Computerized Tomography Technician credential required. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire. Strong communication, technical, and patient care skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Schedule:
Full-time Day and evening shifts Rotating weekends 8-hour shifts (6:00 AM-2:30 PM, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, or 3:00 PM-11:00 PM)
