(R) Certification Full Job Description A full-time Radiology Technologist opportunity is available at a leading 467-bed Level II Trauma Center in Aventura, Florida. This advanced medical facility is certified as a Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center by The Joint Commission, recognized as a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology, and accredited by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer for its Comprehensive Community Cancer Program. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic imaging team dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. The Radiology Technologist performs a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures while maintaining the highest standards of patient safety and image quality. This role serves as an important point of contact for patients throughout their imaging experience, combining technical expertise with compassionate patient care. Success in this position requires strong knowledge of modern imaging technology, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic radiology procedures following established imaging protocols. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and proper positioning throughout each examination. Produce high-quality diagnostic images while maintaining radiation safety standards. Explain imaging procedures and address patient questions to provide a positive experience. Operate and maintain radiology equipment in accordance with department guidelines. Accurately document patient information and imaging records. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support timely diagnosis and treatment. Follow all regulatory, quality, and safety standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required. Current State Registered Radiologic Technician license required. Registered Radiographer (ARRT) certification required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of employment. New graduates who have successfully passed state board examinations are encouraged to apply. Strong communication, technical, and patient care skills.
Schedule:
Full-time 8-hour rotating shifts Shift times include 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, 7:00 AM-3:00 PM, 8:00 AM-4:00 PM, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, and 3:00 PM-11:00 PM Rotating weekend coverage
