We are looking for an X-Ray Tech/Medical Assistant/Receptionist who strives to provide exceptional patient care and has good time management skills. Typical Hours - 30-40 per week. Flexible hours required. Weekends required.

OVERVIEW
Performs diagnostic imaging procedures using radiographic equipment to assist providers in diagnosing and treating patients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
  • Perform diagnostic X-ray procedures as ordered by provider
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and answer questions
  • Position patients correctly to obtain clear and accurate diagnostic images
  • Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
  • Operate radiographic equipment safely and effectively
  • Ensure images meet quality standards and properly labeled prior to submission for provider review
  • Follow radiation safety protocols and use appropriate shielding to minimize patient and staff exposure
  • Accurately document imaging procedures and patient information in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Maintain and inspect radiology equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs promptly
  • Record patient history, vital statistics, or information such as test results in medical records
  • Manage patient flow to ensure an efficient and positive experience
  • Assist physicians in medical procedures and direct patient care
  • Prepare and administer medications as directed by physician
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens or perform basic laboratory tests
  • Operate and maintain medical equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of the work environment
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records
  • Operate X-Ray machinery (must have FL license for FL clinics)
  • Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate staff when needed
  • Process telephone messages
  • Process faxes, lab results, and documents accordingly to the correct office staff
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient records
  • Check in patient, update patient's chart, and update computer information
  • Answer EHR messages from office staff
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate's degree in radiologic technology or an accredited radiography program (in lieu of a degree, equivalent work experience may be considered)
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist certification (preferred in AL, required in FL)
  • Medical Office Assistant Certification (preferred)
  • 1+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant, or similar role (recommended)
  • 2+ years of experience in radiology in a clinic or outpatient healthcare setting (preferred)
SKILLS:
  • Knowledge of radiographic positioning and imaging procedures
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and infection control practices
  • Strong attention to detail and image quality standards
  • Proficiency with radiology equipment and digital imaging systems
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare staff
