Full Job Description Position Title:
CT Technologist Required Education /
Experience:
ARRT registered. CPR certified. CT registered or registry eligible. Licensure as required by Florida Law. Minimum 1 year
Experience Job Summary:
To provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of a computed tomography (CT) scanner for diagnostic and evaluation purposes. Full-time 40 hrs. per week PRN and Part-time positions available Competitive Salary Based on Experience Excellent Benefits Health, Dental, PTO and 401-K Major Duties /
Critical Tasks:
Practices proper entries and accurate records in the
RIS/PACS/EMR.
Prepares patients for CT procedures by accurately assessing patient's needs, medical history, and provides patient education. Operates computed tomography scanner for data acquisition, reconstruction of images, documentation of images, and performs quality control measures for the purpose of ensuring optimal quality images. Injections contrast media after proper patient screening. Charges out exams completed through the RIS. Prepares patient images to PACs for interpretation by a radiologist. Practices accurate and timely completion of scheduled and unscheduled work to maximize productivity. Practices safety measures in CT and Environment of Care. Participates in research projects. Applies the profession's code of ethics in all aspects of his/her employment. Performs other related duties as required. Checks out patients with the RIS. Practices HIPAA compliant polices & procedures. Utilizes critical thinking and emotional intelligence skills
