The Radiation Technician will operate advanced imaging and radiation therapy equipment, ensuring precise delivery of treatments and accurate diagnostic images. This role requires a strong foundation in medical imaging, anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety protocols. The ideal candidate will demonstrate critical care experience, proficiency in CT scans, mammography, and radiation therapy procedures, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. years plus expereince Responsibilities Operate and maintain imaging equipment such as CT scanners, mammography units, and radiation therapy devices with precision and adherence to safety standards. Prepare patients for imaging or treatment procedures by explaining processes and positioning them appropriately. Ensure all procedures comply with radiation safety regulations to protect patients and staff. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to interpret imaging results and assist in diagnosis or treatment planning. Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, equipment calibration, and safety checks. Monitor patient responses during critical care or acute care procedures, adjusting techniques as necessary. Stay current with technological advancements in medical imaging and radiation therapy to enhance service quality. Assist in quality assurance activities including equipment calibration, performance testing, and troubleshooting. Uphold patient confidentiality and provide compassionate care throughout all interactions. Experience Proven experience operating CT scanners, mammography units, or radiation therapy equipment within a clinical setting. Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging and radiation treatment. Critical care experience is highly desirable for managing acutely ill patients requiring specialized attention. Familiarity with medical imaging techniques including CT scans and general radiography. Understanding of radiation safety protocols and regulatory compliance standards. Prior exposure to acute care environments or intensive care units is advantageous. Certification or licensure as a Radiation Technologist (e.g., ARRT certification) is required or preferred.
