Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a experienced Per Diem MRI Technologist in the Vero Beach area ( we have other areas South of Vero if you are willing to travel ) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scans to assist in the diagnostic evaluation of patients. This role requires a strong understanding of MRI imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. We do not do contrast in this facility so no injections will be required Responsibilities Perform MRI scans on patients following established protocols and safety guidelines. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions. Ensure the correct positioning of patients to obtain optimal images while maintaining their comfort and safety. Utilize aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure a sterile environment during procedures. Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to discuss imaging results and assist in diagnostic evaluations. Maintain accurate records of patient information, scan results, and equipment usage. Stay updated on advancements in MRI technology and medical imaging practices. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations regarding the use of MRI equipment. Qualifications Completion of an accredited MRI technologist program or equivalent education in medical imaging. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology. Proficiency in performing diagnostic evaluations using MRI technology. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification from a recognized professional organization (e.g., ARRT) is preferred.
