Job Description

RADIOLOGY TECHNOLOGIST PER DIEM
(2 days weekly minimum) The Advanced Center for Surgery in Vero Beach is a busy, multispecialty ambulatory surgery center in Vero Beach, performing outpatient procedures in General Surgery, Orthopedic Surgery, Pain Management, Plastic/Reconstruction, Podiatry, Robotic Total Joints, and Spine. We are an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International, providing first-class surgical services for local communities. The Per Diem - RadiologicTechnologist will perform multiple procedures under the direction of specialized physicians, including operation of special imaging and radiology equipment. Skilled at sterile field assistance during operating room and pain management procedures. Maintains a professional relationship with physicians and staff.
NO WEEKENDS, NO HOLIDAYS, NO CALL JOB DUTIES
Perform the described duties in the primary work area and demonstrate competency in the following: IV and contrast administration Orthopedic Radiology Pediatric Radiology Operating Room Radiology Trauma Perform Pain Blocks Cholangiograms CXR Modified Specimen Mammograms. File and log in OR x-rays Keep Mini C-Arm logs UTD. Report system of radiology findings to physicians.

Required Experience:
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Technology. AART Registered and CPR Current. 1-2 years experience in C-Arm and Portable X-rays in an operating room setting. Knowledgeable of local, state, federal, and Joint Commission Regulations. Must possess independent decision-making skills. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects. Excellent communication skills with the staff, physicians, patients, and families. Must be able to communicate verbally and non-verbally in a professional way. Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
