Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Advance your career in imaging by joining a dynamic medical team specializing in CT technology. This contract opportunity is designed for candidates eager to deliver high-quality, age-appropriate care in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. With a schedule of three 12-hour night shifts each week—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.—you'll have regular hours and concentrated blocks of time off.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct CT examinations in line with department protocols Accurately verify clinician orders and obtain relevant patient history Assess for contraindications and follow established procedures for safe contrast administration Ensure patient identity with dual identifiers and maintain privacy and dignity throughout procedures Monitor patient status, respond to emergencies, and maintain readiness of crash cart and life support equipment Evaluate and release CT images for clinical appropriateness Maintain equipment cleanliness and functionality per infection control protocols Educate patients and families using clear, effective communication (AIDET approach) Assist in orientation and training of new staff and maintain comprehensive, concise documentation Promote a safe environment by applying shielding and immobilization techniques and performing venipuncture as needed Participate in ongoing quality checks, equipment calibration, and compliance with regulatory standards
Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Active ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certifications Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Minimum of one year experience in Radiology; prior CT experience preferred but not required Strong critical thinking, communication, and multitasking abilities Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service and function independently under pressure Knowledge of anatomy, pathology, radiation safety, and quality control procedures If you're reliable, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care, this is your opportunity to make a difference in a supportive healthcare setting.
