Job Description
Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract An opportunity is available for a skilled professional with expertise in Imaging - CT to support a dedicated healthcare team. This is a contract position, with the schedule set for night shifts—Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM. Flexibility with work hours and reliability are essential, as you'll play a crucial role in delivering high-quality, age-appropriate care to patients needing CT imaging services.
Qualifications and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certifications required. Current BLS certification (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or Instructor level). At least one year of radiology experience required; less than one year CT experience considered. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the capacity to interact with patients, families, and colleagues professionally. Strong customer service background and excellent multitasking skills. Solid understanding of anatomy, pathology, patient positioning, and radiation safety.Key Responsibilities:
Perform CT exams according to department procedures, ensuring patient safety and accurate study results. Verify orders, thoroughly review clinical histories, and assess for contraindications. Administer contrast media, maintain sterile technique, and provide pre/post-procedure care. Accurately document all aspects of patient care and procedures. Operate, clean, and maintain imaging equipment according to safety standards. Respond appropriately to emergencies and maintain necessary supplies and equipment. Educate and prepare patients for imaging procedures, addressing any concerns or questions.
