Computed Tomography Technologist University Surgical Vascular - 3.3 Watkinsville, GA Job Details Full-time From $35 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Vision insurance 401(k) matching Life insurance Qualifications Medical documentation Supplier management Radiology Administrative experience Associate's degree ARRT (CT) Certification Full Job Description Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist Position Summary The CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography imaging while also supporting operational, administrative, and technical functions within the department. This role includes equipment management, regulatory compliance, workflow coordination, and collaboration with radiologists and service providers to ensure efficient and compliant imaging services. Key Responsibilities Clinical & Imaging Duties Perform CT scans in accordance with established protocols and physician orders Maintain and optimize scanner protocols, with a focus on Philips-specific systems Manage patient add-ons and ensure timely accommodation within the daily schedule Ensure proper documentation and upload of CT reports into Epic EMR system Compliance & Quality Assurance Be knowledgeable of precertifications and account authentications Oversee and ensure compliance with ACR QA (American College of Radiology Quality Assurance) standards Coordinate and support annual inspections and evaluations by medical physicists Ensure adherence to all regulatory and accreditation requirements PACS & Technical Administration Serve as PACS Administrator , managing image storage, retrieval, and system functionality Handle disc retrieval and image distribution as needed Maintain service accounts and coordinate access with vendors and internal users Operational & Administrative Duties Monitor and manage supply inventory, including contrast media, injectors, and related materials Coordinate mechanical service requests and maintain equipment functionality Manage service representative accounts and vendor relationships Assist with contract tracking and documentation Reporting & Billing Support Compile and deliver weekly reports, including imaging data and insurance information, to the radiologist every Monday to facilitate billing Ensure accurate and timely documentation to support reimbursement processes Laboratory & Equipment Support Support i-STAT lab operations, including upgrades and maintenance Assist in troubleshooting and maintaining CT scanner performance Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field ARRT (CT) certification required State licensure as required Experience with PACS administration preferred Familiarity with Epic EMR systems Experience with Philips CT scanners strongly preferred Skills & Competencies Strong technical and clinical proficiency in CT imaging Knowledge of regulatory compliance and QA standards Excellent organizational and multitasking skills Ability to manage equipment, vendors, and supply chains Effective communication with radiologists, physicists, and service providers Work Environment Outpatient physician's office, M-F days May require extended hours depending on facility needs NO weekends, evenings, nights, or on-call
