Job Description
Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Play a vital role in advanced patient care by leveraging your CT imaging expertise within a supportive hospital department. This contract opportunity requires flexibility and a solid commitment to excellence in diagnostic imaging, utilizing your judgment and initiative to obtain high-quality studies for a variety of patient needs. The position is scheduled for night shifts—Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, 7:00 PM-7:30 AM—and begins after 5/30/26.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program Active ARRT Radiography (ARRT-R) and Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) certifications Current BLS certification (orARC-BLS/BLS-I
) At least 1 year of experience in radiology; less than 1 year of CT experience considered for candidates showing exceptional promise Outstanding communication skills for frequent interaction with clinicians, patients, and staff Proven ability to work well independently and collaboratively under pressure Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the capacity to multitask efficientlyKey Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients for CT procedures, ensuring patient dignity, privacy, and comfort Verify clinician orders, collect clinical histories, assess potential contraindications, and obtain informed consent Operate CT equipment, setting exposure factors to ensure optimal image quality with minimal radiation dose Perform and document quality control tests in accordance with ACR and manufacturer guidelines Respond promptly to emergency situations and support the team in maintaining readiness of crash carts and life support equipment Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and families throughout the imaging process Maintain strict compliance with hospital policies, infection control standards, and all applicable protocols You'll have an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment while expanding your skills.
