Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated CT Technician to join our medical imaging team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing computed tomography (CT) scans with precision and care, supporting accurate diagnosis and patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This role requires a strong foundation in medical imaging techniques, anatomy, and physiology, as well as experience working in emergency and trauma settings. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort. Duties Operate CT imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images for various medical conditions, including trauma, neurological, and oncological cases. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort. Apply aseptic techniques and maintain strict infection control protocols during all procedures. Collaborate with radiologists, emergency physicians, and other healthcare professionals to facilitate diagnostic evaluation. Assist with advanced imaging procedures such as PET scans, mammography, DEXA scans, sonography, and nuclear medicine studies. Ensure all imaging equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and functioning according to safety standards. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and technical parameters. Adhere to hospital policies regarding radiation safety and patient confidentiality. Support emergency room operations by providing rapid imaging services in urgent care situations. Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and diagnostic radiology principles. Experience Prior experience working in an emergency room or Level I/Level II trauma center setting is highly desirable. Proven expertise in performing CT scans across diverse clinical scenarios, including urgent care environments. Familiarity with nuclear medicine procedures such as PET scans and other advanced diagnostic imaging modalities. Experience with mammography and DEXA scans is advantageous. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to radiology and diagnostic evaluation processes. Knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control practices essential for patient safety. Background in diagnostic radiology with an emphasis on anatomy knowledge and physiology understanding. Previous exposure to emergency medicine protocols and Level I trauma center workflows enhances suitability for this role.
