SCHEDULE
PRN, as needed
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing medical imaging services as directed by the physician and/or radiologist. Completes assigned responsibilities within his/her certification with little or no direct supervision. Participates in performance improvement activities and quality monitoring for the department. Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities: Graduate of a program for Radiologic Techs. ARRT registered and obtained Iowa permit to practice prior to taking x-rays. Previous hospital experience preferred. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Heart Code BLS required. New employees certify within three (3) months after hire date. Must possess a valid Iowa driver's license and meet satisfactory motor vehicle record requirements, if applicable. Must maintain and provide proof of his/her own auto insurance policy, if applicable. Ability to read andmunicate effectively in English. High degree of empathetic listening, tact and kindness toward others. Ability tomunicate well verbally. Must work effectively as a member of a team. Strongputer knowledge Technical skills associated with duties listed within this job description. Must bepetent in all assigned areas. Willingness toplete further radiographic education or certification as required by the department. Must demonstrate leadership and effectivemunication skills as required for this position.
