MRI Technician

Category Imaging - MRI Job Type Contract This opportunity is for an experienced MRI Technologist skilled in imaging procedures, specifically MRI, to support a healthcare facility located in West Des Moines, IA. This contract position offers a structured schedule with the chance to work with advanced Siemens and GE MRI equipment while providing quality care to emergency department, inpatient, and outpatient populations.

Schedule/Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (4x10-hour shifts) Total of 40 hours per week Call one weeknight and one weekend (Friday/Saturday) every 10th weekend

Key Responsibilities:

Perform MRI imaging using Siemens and GE machinery Conduct power injection contrast injections with power injection equipment Serve patients from emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings Float across multiple campuses as needed, including Iowa Methodist MC and Iowa Lutheran Maintain adherence to safety and medical protocols Use EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and patient tracking

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

Proven experience with MRI imaging and technology Familiarity with power injection contrast procedures Comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment involving diverse patient types Ability to float across multiple campuses when required Experience with

EPIC EMR

is preferred
