- Variable Category Technical/Professional Hours Per Pay Period 0.0 = PRN Req #: 47833 Apply Now Save Job Saved MRI Technologist Position Summary Operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies. Responsibilities
- Selects appropriate imaging techniques and operates console and peripheral hardware; enters and monitors patient data, transfers images electronically
- Performs a variety of tasks
- Works under general supervision
- A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required
- Typically reports to a chief technologist or manager
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a college or technical school in Radiologic Technology OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- 2 years related experience in imaging field
- A.R.R.T. Registration in Radiography required and MRI registry required within 18 months of hire, or current ARMRIT certification
- BLS required Working Conditions
- Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to maintain a standing position
- Typical equipment used in a clinical job
- Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
