This position is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic examinations, operating fluoroscopic imaging equipment during surgical and interventional procedures, maintaining radiation safety standards, producing high-quality images, and collaborating with physicians, anesthesia providers, nurses, and clinic staff to support efficient patient care throughout the continuum of care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Patient Care & Imaging Services Prepare patients for imaging procedures and explain procedures in a professional and reassuring manner. Verify patient identity and procedure according to facility policy. Obtain and produce high-quality radiographic and fluoroscopic images as requested by the physician. Assist physicians with image-guided procedures, including orthopedic, spine, pain management, and general surgical procedures. Ensure proper patient positioning to obtain accurate imaging while maintaining patient comfort and safety. Monitor image quality and adjust imaging techniques as appropriate. Upload, transfer, and maintain radiographic images within the facility's imaging systems and electronic medical record. Intraoperative & Procedural Support Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by authorized providers. Produce high-quality digital radiographic images for interpretation by physicians. Verify patient identity, imaging orders, and appropriate examination protocols. Position patients appropriately to obtain diagnostic-quality images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Maintain awareness of sterile technique and work effectively within the sterile field environment. Assist with room turnover and equipment readiness between cases. Diagnostic Imaging Services Perform diagnostic radiographic examinations as ordered by authorized providers. Produce high-quality digital radiographic images for interpretation by physicians. Verify patient identity, imaging orders, and appropriate examination protocols. Position patients appropriately to obtain diagnostic-quality images while ensuring patient comfort and safety. Operate and maintain fixed radiographic equipment located within the clinic upstairs. Upload, transfer, and maintain radiographic images within the facility's imaging systems and electronic medical record. Communicate imaging results and image availability to ordering providers according to facility policy. Maintain imaging records and documentation in accordance with regulatory requirements. Radiation Safety Adhere to all federal, state, and facility radiation safety regulations. Utilize radiation protection principles, including time, distance, and shielding techniques. Monitor personal dosimetry and comply with radiation exposure reporting requirements. Ensure patients, staff, and physicians utilize appropriate radiation protection equipment. Conduct routine radiation safety checks and report equipment concerns promptly. Participate in facility radiation safety programs and education. General Responsibilities Maintain confidentiality in all patient and business-related communications (HIPAA compliance). Maintain compliance with AAAHC, CMS, and facility policies and procedures. Contribute to a positive patient experience and professional work environment. Participate in orientation, competency validation, and ongoing education. Perform other duties as assigned within scope and training. Qualifications Required Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Current ARRT certification Current Idaho Radiologic Technologist licensure or eligibility Current BLS certification Knowledge of fluoroscopic imaging and radiation safety principles Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Minimum one year experience in an ambulatory surgery center, operating room, pain management, spine, or orthopedic setting Experience operating mobile C-arm fluoroscopy equipment Preferred Knowledge of orthopedic and spine surgical procedures Advanced understanding of radiation safety and quality assurance practices Experience performing both diagnostic radiography and surgical fluoroscopy Experience in an ambulatory surgery center, orthopedic practice, pain management clinic, or outpatient imaging environment Familiarity with
PACS, EMR
