NEX/18 Target hiring range for this position will be between be range is as be $34.40-$53.75 per hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Job Summary:
MRI Technician manages daily operations of MRI scanners. Responsible for all aspects related to MRI scanning including scheduling studies, performing scans, archiving studies, post-processing of images, archiving and maintaining imaging data, and billing of scanner usage. The MRI technician will work with researchers to develop protocols to collect optimal data for their studies. They will ensure all devices, coils and MR equipment is working properly, and organize service if not.
Please note:
This position would primarily be M-F, with the potential for 1 Saturday every 3 months (4 total per year)
Specific Responsibilities :
Manages daily operations of MRI scanners. Responsible for all aspects related to MRI safety and MRI scanning including scheduling studies, performing scans, archiving studies, post-processing of images, maintaining data archive, and billing of scanner usage. MRI technologist will train research personnel on scanner use, setup, and cleanup. MR safety training and screening will be provided by MR technician and MRI manager. Observing operations of people in the imaging center and those with credentials to scan on their own is part of the position to maintain safety and the best quality data. Administration Oversees and manages collection, maintenance, analysis and evaluation of data that will be used in grant submissions, presentations and publications.
