Nights 10 Hour Shifts Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to join our advanced medical imaging team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans, ensuring patient safety, and supporting diagnostic processes through precise imaging techniques. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care excellence by utilizing comprehensive knowledge of medical imaging technology and anatomy. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to accuracy, safety, and continuous learning within a dynamic healthcare environment. Responsibilities Operate MRI equipment efficiently to produce detailed images for diagnostic evaluation, adhering strictly to established protocols and safety standards. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the scan. Conduct additional imaging procedures such as CT scans, DEXA scans for bone density measurement, and sonography when required. Maintain thorough knowledge of anatomy and physiology to optimize image quality and assist radiologists in accurate interpretation. Apply aseptic techniques diligently to prevent infections and ensure a sterile environment during all procedures. Assist in the assessment of imaging results by understanding medical terminology and contributing to diagnostic evaluations. Monitor equipment functionality regularly, perform routine maintenance, and report technical issues promptly. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including radiation safety protocols when applicable. Keep detailed records of procedures performed, patient information, and technical parameters for each scan. Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology. Qualifications Certification or diploma in Radiologic Technology with specialization in MRI from an accredited institution. Proven experience operating MRI scanners with a strong understanding of medical imaging principles. Knowledge of additional imaging modalities such as
CT, DEXA
scan, and sonography is highly desirable. Solid understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging. Familiarity with aseptic techniques and infection control practices within clinical settings. Ability to interpret basic diagnostic images and assist in clinical evaluations effectively. Excellent communication skills to interact compassionately with patients and collaborate with healthcare teams.
