Please independently verify any critical information before relying on it. Description Become a vital part of a hospital team in Oak Lawn, IL as an experienced Computed Tomography Technologist. You will accurately interpret physician scanning instructions, administer contrast materials, and expertly operate CT equipment in a level 1 trauma, teaching hospital environment. The position involves care of inpatient, outpatient, and ED patients and requires comfort working in a fast-paced setting with stroke and trauma cases. Minimum Qualifications Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification. Completion of a JRCERT-accredited radiologic technology program or equivalent education. BLS certification. Minimum 3 years of CT technologist experience, including trauma and stroke imaging. Experience with GE CT equipment. IV skills and power injection experience required. Experience working with EPIC electronic medical record system preferred. Comfort working in a high-volume, teaching hospital environment with resident-staffed radiology. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a level 1 trauma center or comprehensive stroke center. Experience with Alaris and Pyxis medication/infusion and supply systems. Prior travel assignment experience preferred but not required.
Assignment Details Shift:
Evenings with alternating weekends (every other weekend rotation).
Orientation:
1 day on the unit.
Charting and systems:
EPIC documented; Alaris and Pyxis used on unit.
Weekend staffing:
typically 1 tech and a tech aide on Friday, 2 techs and a tech aide on Saturday and Sunday.
