PetVets Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician, CVT, or RVT to join our exceptional team. We are a progressive, fast-paced six-doctor hospital in Oak Park, just minutes from Chicago and only 8.4 miles from Downtown Chicago. About our hospital PetVets Animal Hospital is an expanding hospital offering advanced, state-of-the-art care, including: Laser therapy Laser surgery Rehabilitation therapy Internal medicine Digital radiology Ultrasonography Behavioral medicine Fear Free-certified handling and care And more Responsibilities include: Effective communication with clients, doctors, and fellow team members Assisting with surgery and surgical equipment Fear Free animal handling and restraint Venipuncture and IV catheter placement Performing radiographs Administering medications and monitoring hospitalized patients Vaccinating patients Bandage application and bandage changes Laser treatments Preparing prescriptions Performing in-house laboratory work, urinalysis, and microscopy Client education and communication The ideal candidate Brings strong technical skills and sound judgment Works well in a fast-paced environment Values teamwork, accountability, and communication Takes pride in high-quality patient care Understands the importance of both medicine and compassion Wants to continue learning and growing in a supportive hospital Qualifications Licensed CVTs/RVTs should have at least 1 year of hospital experience Unlicensed veterinary technicians with 5+ years of experience will also be considered What we offer This is a full-time position with excellent salary and benefits , including: Competitive salary DOE and negotiable Matching 401(k) Medical insurance Dental insurance Paid CE and CE time Paid licensing and professional fees Paid lunch breaks Paid sick and vacation time Employee pet perks and discounts Additional staff perks Real opportunity for professional and personal growth Why PetVets?
