Job Description

Parkview Orthopaedic Group is a multi-specialty Orthopaedic private practice located in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. We are currently recruiting for a part time X-Ray technologist. Candidates must be IEMA and ARRT Licensed and have experience working with CR and Digital X-Ray software. C-Arm experience is a plus but not necesssary.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Perform X-Ray studies with appropriate application of technical and positioning protocols, radiation safety procedures and proper image identifying criteria according to department policy and procedure. Evaluate X-Ray images for technical quality, assuring proper identification is recorded. Verifies physician orders for instructions from requesting physician, preps patient for exam. Explains procedure and provides education and instruction to patient as appropriate. Selects, operates and maintains the X-Ray units and associated equipment. Reports to supervisor any equipment malfunction. Operates equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines for appropriate quality control. Responsible for departmental records. Accurately and promptly documents in departments records (patient name, exam date, image markers) This document represents the major duties, responsibilities, and authorities of this job, and is not intended to be a complete list of all task and functions. Graduate of an approved accredited program of Radiology. ARRT certified, must have IEMA license.
