Role:
As a PRN MRI Technologist at Quincy Medical Group, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. Working closely with radiologists, providers, and the imaging team, you will perform MRI examinations while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and exceptional customer service. This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing accurate diagnostic imaging. Schedule & Work Environment PRN position with hours scheduled based on departmental needs and staffing coverage. Flexible scheduling, including weekday shifts as needed. No guaranteed minimum hours. May provide coverage for vacations, leaves of absence, and other staffing needs. Fast-paced outpatient imaging environment focused on patient-centered care. Primary Responsibilities Perform MRI procedures according to physician orders and established imaging protocols. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort and safety. Screen patients for MRI safety and contraindications prior to imaging. Operate MRI equipment and associated technology to obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to patient needs. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the electronic medical record and imaging systems. Collaborate with radiologists, providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care. Administer contrast media in accordance with departmental policies, licensure, and certification requirements. Ensure compliance with safety standards, infection prevention protocols, and regulatory requirements. Perform routine equipment checks and report equipment concerns as appropriate. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment. Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program required. Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required. Advanced MRI certification through ARRT required or must be obtained within a designated timeframe. Current state licensure, if applicable, required. Current CPR certification required. Previous MRI experience preferred. Knowledge of MRI safety practices, imaging protocols, and patient care standards. Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently and adapt to changing departmental needs. The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $30.39 - $45.59 per hour with actual pay determined by skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
