This travel position promises professional enrichment as you work in a high-acuity setting within a 255-bed facility with cutting-edge technology. As a radiology tech, you'll collaborate with an expert multidisciplinary team, broaden your resume through exposure to a Level II Trauma Center, and experience dynamic leadership approaches. This environment offers valuable opportunities to cross-train in a variety of high-impact hybrid rooms, including Cath Lab, IR, EP, and more.
Schedule/Hours:
Call-based schedule; 10-11 call shifts per month Weekend rotation: on call (2 weekends per month, Friday 4p-Monday 7a) 30-minute response time when on call Closed on holidays, except for call coverage Expected 1-2 holiday calls per contract
Qualifications:
Current ARRT certification and IEMA (IL state) license BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum 2 years IR or Cath Lab experience (cross-training in both preferred) Experience with scrub and pan tasks simultaneously, as well as hemodynamic monitoring, Impella, and balloon pump procedures Ability to adapt to both inpatient and outpatient adult cases; intra-procedural role only
Key Responsibilities:
Support diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular and peripheral procedures Operate and monitor advanced equipment (Siemens, GE Cardio, Merge) Collaborate with nurses and other specialists during high-risk interventions Provide procedural support across Cath Lab, IR, Hybrid, or EP rooms per skillset Maintain accurate charting in
