- 90 per hour Job Description The Radiology / Cardiology
- Interventional Radiology Tech will assist physicians with a wide range of image‑guided procedures, ensuring high‑quality imaging, sterile technique, and patient safety throughout the procedural workflow.
Core Procedural Responsibilities Assist with angiography, angioplasty, stent placements, embolization, thrombectomy, and thrombolysis Support central line and catheter placements Set up sterile fields and maintain aseptic technique Anticipate physician needs during procedures Imaging & Equipment Operation Operate fluoroscopy systems, digital angiography units, and CT/ultrasound (as applicable) Position patients for optimal imaging Adjust imaging parameters to ensure high‑quality diagnostic images Patient Care Responsibilities Prepare patients for procedures, including verification, positioning, and monitoring Explain procedures and provide reassurance Monitor vital signs and patient condition during procedures Assist with post‑procedure care and recovery Specialty & Crossover Work Support procedures involving peripheral vascular disease (PAD) Assist with venous access and interventions Work alongside cardiology teams in hybrid or cath‑lab/IR crossover environments Required Credentials 1 year of experience Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program or Associate Degree in Applied Sciences ARRT Certification IEMA Licensure BLS (AHA) ACLS (AHA) Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of experience Minimum 1 year in an active interventional cardiac cath, NeuroIR, IR, or EP lab Bachelor of Science degree Ideal Candidate Skills Strong sterile‑technique and procedural‑support skills Ability to operate fluoroscopy, angiography, CT, and ultrasound equipment Experience with PAD, venous access, and complex vascular interventions Strong communication and teamwork abilities Ability to work independently in a high‑acuity procedural environment Perks & Benefits of Working in Winfield, IL Winfield offers a blend of suburban comfort, access to major Chicago medical centers, and a strong community healthcare environment—an excellent setting for IR professionals.
