Please apply through our pipeline requisition here: . This pipeline requisition allows the IU Health Talent Acquisition team to pair upcoming & recent diagnostic radiology technologist graduates with the best opportunities available to them based on their unique skillset and interests. Thanks for your interest in joining the team! This position is full time, days. It will be 4-10 hour shifts, Monday-Friday, from 6:30am-5pm, at Bloomington Hospital. On call required, must live within a 30-minute response radius. This position is for the cardiac cath lab only. New Hire Bonus available for those who are eligible! Assists radiologist/interventionalist in interventional procedures including acting as scrub tech where appropriate. Adheres to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Follows radiation safety protocols and is aware of patient dose alert levels and escalation procedure. Understands and has knowledge of complex procedures. Demonstrates ability to determine appropriate supplies for procedure and sets up sterile field. Possesses advanced knowledge of cross sectional and vascular anatomy. Communicates and work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team (critical care, ED, Trauma, IP, OP, Nursing, Oncology, Transplant, GI, Neurosurgery, etc). Documents necessary information in EMR. Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience. Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) is required. Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning. Requires knowledge of sterile technique and supplies used during interventional exams. Requires active status as a Registered Technologist - Radiography, RT(R), through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). May be required to obtain advanced credential in interventional radiography, if applicable. Requires current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) license as Radiologic Technologist.
