Certification Full Job Description Radiologic Technologist Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor, this employee is responsible for preparing the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process of the exam, properly positioning the patient, and selecting exposure factors to capture the appropriate images per the doctor's protocol. Regular attendance is an essential part of this job.Full Time:
Monday-Friday l flexibility to work 07:00 AM - 05:00PM Location:
Evansville East with flexibility to cover other office locations as neededX-Ray Essential Functions:
Responsible for all aspects of the x-ray equipment, including but not limited to, ensuring that imaging equipment is in optimum operating order and informing the appropriate person when it needs repairs. X-ray patients per each doctor's protocol. Positions patients and selects exposure factors accurately. Utilizes radiation protection and safety standards. Applies as low as reasonably achievable (ALARA) principle to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others. Evaluates radiologic images for quality and accuracy. Documents on what views were performed on patient encounter forms. Returns patient to the exam room when the x-ray is completed Utilizes MedStrat PACS for all image storage, including but not limited to importing and exporting images from other facilities and patients, respectively. Performs Annual Lead Checks. Additional Responsibilities Cross covers all diagnostic X-ray areas. Ability to work well with all doctors, extenders and clinical staff. Ability to work well in a fast paced environment. Ability to work as part of a Saturday rotation. Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
