$25,000 Sign-On Bonus Up to $10,000 Student Loan Repayment Assistance Comprehensive Health Insurance (Medical, Dental, and Vision) 401(k) Retirement Plan with Company Matching Competitive Base Salary + Weekend Premium Package Job Summary As an MRI Technologist I, you will perform routine magnetic resonance imaging procedures to support critical diagnostic and treatment services. In this role, you will be the frontline champion for patient safety and comfort, producing high-quality diagnostic images for physician evaluation. Your daily responsibilities will center on maintaining strict compliance with safety zones, operating advanced imaging equipment, managing departmental supplies, and delivering compassionate patient care from start to finish.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities Diagnostic Imaging:
Perform high-quality MRI procedures according to physician orders and established departmental protocols to ensure accurate diagnostics.
Safety Screening:
Thoroughly review patient questionnaires and clinical histories to identify potential contraindications (such as implants or foreign bodies), ensuring strict safety before and during scans.
Equipment Operation:
Proficiently operate MRI scanners and processing equipment while adhering to all established magnetic resonance safety guidelines.
Patient Care & Education:
Prepare, educate, and instruct patients regarding their exams; address questions and alleviate anxieties to promote maximum comfort and patient satisfaction.
Zone Compliance:
Ensure strict compliance with all MRI safety standards, including maintaining specialized MRI safety zones and verifying patient/staff readiness prior to entering scan areas.
Clinical Documentation:
Document and correlate clinical histories with exam findings, ensuring accurate, complete, and reliable information is available for the interpreting Radiologist.
Inventory & Functionality:
Maintain an organized inventory of sterile and routine MRI supplies. Monitor equipment functionality and promptly report any technical issues to appropriate personnel.
Order Verification:
Verify physician orders and confirm exact patient identification prior to starting any procedure in accordance with hospital protocols.
Team Collaboration:
Partner collaboratively with radiologists, attending physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to optimize imaging results and patient outcomes.
Compliance & Attendance:
Maintain regular, reliable attendance and comply fully with all organizational policies, operational standards, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology or MRI program (Required).
Experience:
0 to 2 years of clinical experience as a registered MRI Technologist (Required). Welcoming both recent graduates and early-career techs!
Required Licenses & Certifications:
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
OR ARMRIT
(American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) certification (Or eligible status, with certification obtained within 12 months of hire date). BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification (Required).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong fundamental knowledge of MRI principles, safety standards, and specialized imaging techniques. Proficiency in navigating MRI equipment and associated clinical software. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively, clearly, and compassionately with patients and healthcare professionals. Strong detail orientation with the ability to follow rigorous safety protocols and documentation procedures. Basic computer skills for electronic medical records (EMR) documentation and image processing.
