X-Ray Technician Medasource - 4.0 Indianapolis, IN Job Details Contract $31.19 - $37.56 an hour 23 hours ago Benefits Dental insurance 401(k) Qualifications Teamwork Patient monitoring Radiology BLS Certification Basic life support Patient interaction Full Job Description X-Ray Technologist Job Description Responsibilities Operate imaging equipment including x-ray, fluoroscopy, and portable x-ray systems Prepare and position patients appropriately for imaging procedures Explain exams and procedures to patients to ensure comfort and understanding Collaborate with radiologists, surgeons, and referring physicians to obtain accurate diagnostic images Follow all radiation safety and infection control protocols Document patient history, imaging details, and necessary information within the EMR system Monitor patients during exams and procedures to ensure safety and comfort Assist with minimally invasive and surgical procedures as needed Maintain imaging equipment and ensure proper functionality Stay current with continuing education and industry standards Qualifications 0-3 years of relevant radiology experience preferred Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required Active Registered Technologist - Radiography RT(R) certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or recent graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (board eligible) Current Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) Radiologic Technologist license or active ISDH Student Permit required Ability to maneuver imaging equipment and adapt patient positioning based on patient condition and mobility limitations Strong communication, teamwork, and patient care skills in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Pay:
$31.19 - $37.56 per hour
