Job Overview:
As a CT Technologist in the outpatient setting, you would be responsible for performing routine and specific specialized CT procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail under the direction of a radiologist. IV administration of contrast is required. Candidate will rotate early and late shifts and cross train on 3 GE CT scanners. Job duties include the following (other duties may be assigned): Performs CT scanning procedures at an appropriate level of competency. Performs IV injections using safe sterile technique. Responds to emergency call back if assigned. Assists with orientation of new staff and students. Keeps area supplied and clean. Performs office responsibilities when required. Participates in in-services. Monitors vital signs as necessary. Performs HIS, RIS and PACS functions as necessary. Maintains equipment to decrease downtime and overtime expense. Participates in performance improvement and quality assurance initiatives. Supervision includes technologists in orientation, radiology students when assigned, and diagnostic student aides.
Required:
Certifications/Licenses/Education:
Degree from an accredited Medical Imaging program Licensed as a Radiologic Technologist in the state in which you will practice Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Radiologic Technologist prior to, or within 6 months of hire CT credentials through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or within 6 months of hire GE CT experience preferred, but not required Other keywords: CT Technologist, Computed Tomography Technologist, Radiologic Technologist, CT Imaging Specialist, CT Scan Technician, Medical Imaging Technologist, Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, CT Scan Operator, Imaging Technologist, Radiology Technician, CT Machine Operation, CT Procedures, Patient Imaging, Medical Imaging Equipment, Radiation Safety, Contrast Media Administration, Patient Care and Positioning, Image Quality Assurance, Radiologic Procedures, Healthcare Imaging, Certification in CT (ARRT, CT Certification), Medical Imaging Protocols, Imaging Software Proficiency, Radiation Protection Protocols, Clinical Experience in CT Imaging
