Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (CVI/Rad Tech) - Opportunity to Transition into
Cath Lab Location:
Morehead, KY (On-Site)
Pay Rate:
$30/hr - $40.00/hr Up to $10,000

Days | Monday-Friday or 4x10s | On-Call Required Are you an ARRT-certified Rad Tech looking to grow your career, increase your earning potential, and specialize in a high-demand field? This is a great opportunity for Radiologic Technologists currently working in X-ray, CT, or MRI who want to transition into the Cardiac Cath Lab with full training provided. Instead of staying in general imaging, step into a specialized cardiovascular role with strong long-term career growth and advancement. Position Summary The Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Technologist (CVI/Rad Tech) assists physicians during invasive cardiovascular procedures including cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, electrophysiology, and vascular interventions. This role supports patient care, imaging, sterile procedures, radiation safety, and procedural efficiency in a fast-paced Cath Lab environment. Schedule Monday-Friday or 4x10s available On-call every 3rd weekend 2-3 on-call weekdays per week $5/hr on-call pay Limited on-call housing available for those living 30+ minutes away Responsibilities Prepare and educate patients for cardiac and vascular procedures Verify patient identity using two identifiers Maintain sterile field and proper sterile technique Set up sterile tables and procedural rooms Label and manage medications on and off the sterile field Assist physicians during procedures Administer contrast agents per department policy Operate imaging equipment and troubleshoot issues Monitor hemodynamics and assist with procedural monitoring systems Maintain radiation safety standards Support cardiologists, radiologists, and vascular surgeons during interventions Maintain supplies, room readiness, and equipment quality control QualificationsRequired Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program Associate Degree (AAS) or Bachelor's Degree (BSRT) Current ARRT certification (R) Current Kentucky Radiation Operator Certification (KMBIRT) Current general or temporary Kentucky license Preferred 1+ year of radiologic experience Experience in X-ray, CT, or MRI Cath Lab or cardiovascular intervention exposure ARRT (CV) registry or registry eligible preferred
