In this vital role, you will perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in patient evaluation and treatment. Your expertise will contribute to accurate diagnosis and optimal patient care within a fast-paced, high-quality medical environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about medical imaging, possesses strong technical skills, and thrives in emergency and trauma settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced imaging technology and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional healthcare services. Duties Operate a variety of diagnostic imaging equipment including X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT (Computed Tomography), MRI, PET (Positron Emission Tomography) scans, mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine procedures. Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the exam. Implement radiation safety protocols diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure. Assist in interventional radiology procedures by providing real-time imaging guidance for minimally invasive treatments. Conduct diagnostic evaluations across various specialties such as emergency room imaging, urgent care settings, and Level I Trauma Centers. Maintain detailed records of procedures performed, ensuring compliance with medical standards and confidentiality regulations. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret images accurately for diagnosis and treatment planning. Qualifications Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) with current licensure in the relevant state or region. Proven experience in diagnostic radiology including X-ray, fluoroscopy, CT scans, mammography, DEXA scans, nuclear medicine, and sonography. Prior experience working in urgent care settings, emergency rooms, or Level I/II Trauma Centers is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medical imaging principles. Proficiency in operating advanced medical equipment such as PET scanners and interventional radiology tools. Ability to implement radiation safety protocols effectively while maintaining aseptic techniques during invasive procedures. Familiarity with emergency medicine procedures and the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations swiftly under pressure. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly to patients and collaborate seamlessly with healthcare teams.
