1 Description American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 1 year of radiology experience for a 13-week travel contract at an acute care hospital in the greater Boston area. Details CT Scan department within an acute care hospital setting Patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric Friday, Saturday, and Sunday shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM Uses Epic for charting Requirements Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience required Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program ARRT registration as RT(R) or RT(N) required; CT registry preferred — if CT license is not held at time of hire, it must be obtained within one year Active MA state radiation control board license required; MA conditional licenses are not accepted BLS certification required (AHA only; Red Cross not accepted at this location) IV insertion and removal skills required License required if applicable Two professional references required for consideration Flu vaccine required; no religious or medical exemptions accepted Additional Information Performs a variety of CT procedures under the direction of a qualified physician, technical specialist, and CT Operations Manager using prescribed levels of ionizing radiation Operates imaging equipment to produce quality diagnostic images and is responsible for IV insertion and removal All procedures are performed in accordance with federal, state, local, and hospital policies Knowledge of the special needs and behaviors of adult and older adult patients is preferred Timekeeping is performed via UKG/Kronos Candidates with a permanent residence within 60 miles of Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston are considered local and will receive a reduced travel pay rate Start date is contingent upon credentialing clearance; if clearance is not obtained by the posted start date, a rescheduled start date will be required Any requested time off must be disclosed at the time of submission
