$2374.00 - $2446.00 This Radiologic Technologist opportunity is based in a welcoming community hospital in Webster, Massachusetts, a lakeside town known for its natural beauty, historic charm, and friendly, close-knit atmosphere. Webster offers the scenic backdrop of Lake Webster, with its beaches, boating, and waterfront recreation, as well as unique local attractions like Indian Ranch, a lakeside live music venue, and the immersive Samuel Slater Experience museum that celebrates the region's industrial and cultural history. The town's walkable neighborhoods, local eateries, and small businesses contribute to an inviting hometown feel, while its proximity to Worcester and other Central Massachusetts communities provides easy access to a broader range of dining, entertainment, and cultural activities. The hospital serves as a key healthcare hub for the area, offering a broad spectrum of services in a modern and patient-centered environment. The radiology department features contemporary imaging technology, digital radiography, and an integrated
PACS/EMR
system designed to support efficient workflows and high-quality imaging. You will join a supportive and collaborative team of technologists, radiologists, nurses, and providers who prioritize safety, accuracy, and compassionate care for every patient. In this role, you will perform a wide variety of general diagnostic radiographic procedures, including routine X-rays, fluoroscopic studies, portable exams on inpatient units, and intraoperative imaging in the operating room. A typical day involves receiving and reviewing imaging orders, verifying patient identity and history, explaining procedures in a clear and reassuring manner, positioning patients safely and accurately, and capturing high-quality images that support timely and accurate diagnosis. You will be responsible for optimizing technique factors, evaluating image quality, adhering to radiation safety standards, and documenting all procedures in the hospital's electronic systems. Patient populations include outpatients from the community, emergency department patients, and admitted inpatients, providing a diverse clinical experience and opportunities to maintain and enhance your skills. Workload and patient ratios are managed to balance thorough, individualized patient care with the demands of a community hospital environment. The department fosters a culture of teamwork and mutual support, with technologists regularly collaborating to coordinate portable studies, assist with complex cases, and support the department across shifts. The schedule may include a mix of day, evening, or night shifts depending on departmental needs, with rotating weekend and holiday coverage to ensure around-the-clock service for the community. This position offers the chance to practice in a setting where your work has a direct and meaningful impact on patients and families, while enjoying the lifestyle benefits of a picturesque lakeside town. Whether you value outdoor recreation, local festivals and events, historic experiences, or simply the sense of belonging that comes with a smaller community, Webster provides a high quality of life that complements a rewarding hospital-based radiology career.
