  • Baltimore, MD Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled X-Ray Radiologic Technologist to join our healthcare team.
In this vital role, you will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays and advanced modalities such as computed tomography (CT), to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients. Your expertise in radiation safety, anatomy, and medical imaging will ensure high-quality patient care while maintaining strict adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of medical terminology, physiology, and radiation physics, contributing to accurate diagnostics and optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining processes and positioning them accurately to obtain optimal images. Operate radiologic equipment safely and efficiently, including X-ray machines, CT scanners, mammography units, and radiation therapy devices. Follow radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure. Conduct imaging studies across various specialties such as radiology, mammography, radiation oncology, and critical care settings. Manage electronic health records (EHR) to document procedures accurately and maintain comprehensive patient records. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results and ensure timely communication of findings. Maintain equipment functionality through routine checks, calibration, and troubleshooting as needed. Implement radiation safety protocols consistently in compliance with regulatory standards. Demonstrate proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology, radiation physics, and medical imaging techniques. Support acute care environments by responding swiftly to urgent imaging requests in critical situations. Skills Proven experience with CT imaging modalities and proficiency in operating advanced radiologic equipment. Strong understanding of radiation safety procedures and implementation of safety protocols. Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to accurately position patients and interpret images. Experience with mammography techniques and radiation oncology procedures is highly desirable. Familiarity with radiation therapy principles and practices within clinical settings. Excellent knowledge of medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging. Ability to operate complex medical equipment reliably while adhering to safety standards. Competence in managing electronic health records (EHR) systems for documentation purposes. Critical care experience that enhances responsiveness in emergency situations. Strong communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration. Attention to detail coupled with the ability to multitask effectively in fast-paced environments.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform and process X‐Rays using portable digital (DR) or computed (CR) radiography equipment and submit/transmit them to a Radiologist for interpretation. Unload portable X‐Ray equipment and take into facilities to perform exams ordered by the physician. Must obtain clinically diagnostic, technically competent x‐ray images. Perform EKGs (as needed) and transmit them to a Cardiologist for interpretation. (if required) Scan exam related paperwork/billing documents on a daily basis per protocol. Regularly communicate with dispatch and management. Communicate efficiently and interact professionally with peers, supervisory staff, and clients. Maintain vehicle and x‐ray equipment.
