Job Description

Radiology - [No Specialty] Job TitlePET/CT TechnologistLocationLeonardtown, MDSchedule / Job TypeContract | Days | OnsiteKey Responsibilities
  • Perform PET/CT imaging studies using GE Discovery PET/CT equipment, selecting appropriate software options and imaging parameters to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Ensure patient safety through pre-screening for contraindications, aseptic injection technique, and adnce to radiation safety regulations, including proper documentation when working with radioactive materials and patients.
  • Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, ensure comfort, and promote satisfaction throughout the imaging process.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret physician orders and deliver accurate imaging results.
  • Troubleshoot scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment including monitors, PACS, and coils as needed.
  • Train new technologists and Patient Coordinators as required. Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Dual certification as a Nuclear Medicine and Computed Tomography Technologist required: NMTCB or ARRT(N) and ARRT(CT).
  • Active Maryland state dual licensure for Nuclear Medicine and CT Technology required.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification required.
  • Minimum of one year of PET/CT experience required.
  • Valid state driver's license required; local travel may be required. Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field preferred.
  • Experience working in varied imaging environments including outpatient centers, mobile coaches, or hospital-based facilities preferred. Why Join Us
