Job Description

We are seeking a full time Mammography Technologist to join our team, and are open to training current Radiology Technologist with an interest in mammography. This could be a great fit for someone who is looking to get into mammo or grow their skills in that area. We have a really supportive team and are happy to invest the time in training someone who's a good fit. This position offers a stable and predictable schedule with guaranteed holidays off (11 in total), evenings, or weekends, giving you the opportunity to maintain a great work-life balance. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and understanding Perform imaging procedures, adjusting equipment and exposure settings for optimal image quality Review images for accuracy and diagnostic quality before submission to the radiologist Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team, including working closely with radiologists Maintain patient records, including relevant medical history and documentation in EMR systems Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and radiation protection protocols Experience with Sectra, Epic, PenRad applications highly preferred Educate patients on breast health, including self-exam techniques Coordinate with outside facilities to obtain prior imaging when needed Support coding, billing, and general administrative tasks related to procedures Maintain clean, stocked, and organized patient care areas Perform routine quality control testing to ensure equipment is functioning safely and effectively
Qualifications:
Minimum associates degree in Applied Science required Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Up to date continuing education experience as required Experience with EMR and imaging systems Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care Excellent communication and organizational skills
