Job Description

Category Imaging - CT Job Type Contract Experienced CT Technologists are needed for contract opportunities specializing in computerized tomographic imaging. This role offers a dynamic work environment focusing on advanced CT procedures under minimal supervision, with additional responsibilities in general diagnostic radiology as needed.
Schedule & Hours:
7:00 pm - 7:30 am shifts Every other weekend required
Required Qualifications:
Current BLS certification (Basic Life Support) Active ARRT credentialing with current CT certification Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical setting Strong communication skills and team orientation
Key Responsibilities:
Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for imaging Review clinical requisition data, performing and adjusting exams as appropriate; obtain further medical history if necessary Prepare and restock procedure rooms, ensuring necessary linens and supplies are available Accurately position patients, set up imaging equipment, and perform CT scans Administer intravenous contrast media safely, including operation of power injectors; monitor for and respond to potential patient reactions Support Radiologists during complex diagnostic and sterile procedures like biopsies Adhere to radiation safety principles (ALARA), including patient shielding and appropriate setting selection Resolve imaging exceptions and confirm image quality for proper delivery into PACS systems Complete comprehensive documentation and accurate RIS indexing for clinical and administrative processes Collaborate with Radiologists to review and follow clinical protocols prior to imaging studies Consistently uphold organizational standards for communication, patient care, teamwork, and documentation This is an excellent opportunity for CT technologists seeking a challenging and rewarding role with overnight shifts and regular weekends.
