Contract X-ray Technician
  • Marquette, MI Care One is seeking a dedicated Xray Technician inside the secure perimeters of the Marquette Correctional Facility in Marquette. Marquette Correctional Facility
  • Marquette, MI 8:00a
  • 4:00p, Part time (24 hours plus travel time) Travel between Marquette, Baraga, and Munising Facilities is required. Travel time and mileage will be reimbursed. $38.50/HR PTO Weekly Pay X
Ray Technician Responsibilities:
Set up and operate radiographic equipment for patient diagnosis and treatment. Select appropriate ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis. Adjust radiographic controls for proper exposure timing and intensity. Position and assist patients for X-rays as requested by physicians. Implement infection control procedures in the work area. Review X-rays for clarity and retake if necessary. Process and develop exposed films using appropriate equipment. Maintain patient records and distribute files to medical staff. Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with standards. Perform radiographic procedures in surgical settings. Maintain and clean radiographic equipment; make minor adjustments. Protect patients and staff from radiation exposure. Manage radiographic supplies and equipment. Administer contrast media for special studies. Follow up appointments for additional examinations. X•
Ray Technician Qualifications:
Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology. Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Knowledge of diagnostic radiographic procedures and film processing techniques. Understanding of disease imaging and human anatomy. Awareness of safety precautions and occupational hazards. Proficient in operating radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment. Attention to detail in imaging. Record-keeping and effective communication skills.
