Primary Responsibilities:
Clearly explain CT examination procedures and prepare patients accordingly. Review clinical requisitions and collect additional patient history when necessary. Prepare procedure rooms, maintain inventory of stocks and sterile supplies. Accurately analyze anatomical structures, set up, and perform CT scans. Operate imaging equipment manually to produce high-quality diagnostic images. Safely administer intravenous contrast media, monitor, and manage patient reactions. Support Radiologist with complex diagnostic procedures, including sterile biopsies. Rigorously apply ALARA principles and radiation safety measures during all imaging. Ensure all images are correctly uploaded and cataloged in PACS and RIS systems. Validate clinical protocols with Radiologists, ensuring best practices are followed. Model team member standards—clear communication, responsiveness, positive attitude, and fostering inclusivity. Meticulously document within both patient medical records and radiology systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified in Imaging - CT, with demonstrated expertise in computerized tomography. Experience in administering IV contrast and managing adverse reactions. Familiarity with
PACS/RIS
systems and general diagnostic radiology procedures.
