This contract position supports patient care by delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a collaborative healthcare environment. Key Qualifications:
Current certification or registry as a Radiology Technologist (ARRT or equivalent) Valid state license to practice, if required Previous experience in a fast-paced radiology or imaging department preferred Strong knowledge of imaging procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols Proficient in digital imaging systems and electronic health records Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and work effectively with patients and multidisciplinary teams
Schedule/Hours:
Full-time schedule with flexible shift options depending on department needs
Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic imaging examinations using high-standard radiologic techniques Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures Accurately position patients to capture optimal images as requested by referring providers Regularly calibrate and maintain imaging equipment to ensure efficiency and safety Document and review images for quality, collaborating with radiologists on findings Maintain strict compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and regulatory requirements Respond promptly to emergent situations by following established protocols Educate patients and families on imaging procedures as needed
