THE POSITION
We are seeking a reliable X-Ray Technologist with the ability to multi-task in an Orthopaedic Center. The daily tasks of an X-ray Technologist require precise work and attention to detail as well as adherence to strict safety procedures. The X-ray Technologist operates x-ray equipment and prepares imaging room with equipment and supplies. This position requires both desk and x-ray unit work including storage of images. They have frequent contact with employees, providers, patients, and their families. As an x-ray Technologist you'll work as part of the team to assist physicians by providing patient care services in an efficient, customer service oriented manner in the orthopedic practice. The person in this position demonstrates the knowledge and skills to work in a fast paced clinic with occasional high pressure or emergent situations.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
Knowledge of radiologic standards, requirements and regulations Knowledge of the occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the position Knowledge of anatomy, physiology and radiology Use and apply medical terminology appropriately Ability to lift and position patients for the type of x-ray procedure required Ability to keep and maintain records Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Ability to relate sensitively to patients needs Proficient ability to use a computer and electronic medical record Attention to accuracy and detail Ability to adapt easily to changing conditions and work responsibilities Ability to maintain positive attitude Skilled at multi-tasking, resourceful and well organized
THE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma Completion of course in Radiologic Technology approved by ARRT Current certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) Current certification in
