Job Description

The supervisor is responsible to develop, maintain, and improve service to its customers 24 hours a day. The supervisor must recruit, select, mentor, coach, develop, discipline, and maintain a staff that will provide this service. This should be done through ongoing self-improvement, the promotion of continuous improvement, and by being a change agent. extension program. Must have a bachelor's degree in a related field or attain within three years of hire. Must be a graduate of an accredited radiography, ultrasound, or nuclear medicine program. Five years of clinical radiology experience required. Incumbents hired into the role prior to February 15, 2018, are required to meet the previous requirements of associate's degree and five years' work experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
Additional Qualifications:
Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to work independently. Ability to multitask and manage a variety of daily problems that arise including, but not limited to, patient-related issues, equipment, technical competency, workflow, and supervisory duties. Thorough understanding of Mayo and Radiology policies and procedures and be able to communicate these expectations to employees. Ability to gain cooperation through leading by example, motivating individuals, and influencing others. Supervisor should be sensitive, assertive, and possess a management style that promotes teamwork and harmonious working relationships.
License or Certifications:
Registry in clinical radiology field is required. Registry in specific modality that supervisory position supports is strongly preferred.
