JOB DESCRIPTION
Park Nicollet is looking to hire an Mammographer to join our Radiology team! Come join us as a Partner for Good and help us make an impact on the care and experience that our patients and their families receive every day.
Position Summary:
Performs high quality mammography procedures in accordance with established protocols. Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Applies knowledge of radiation protection, emergency protocols and procedures, and proper equipment utilization to maximize safety in the work environment.
Work Schedule:
Fulltime 1.0 FTE. Monday-Friday 7:30-4 and 8-4:30 one sat every 6 weeks 8am-12pm
Required Qualifications:
Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination:
Satisfactory completion of a formal radiologic technical training program from an accredited AMA school of radiologic technology Must be willing to participate in continuing education to remain current of technical advances.
Licensure/ Registration/ Certification:
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Maintain current CPR skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrate strong knowledge of anatomy, mammographic positioning, and proper application of radiographic principles. Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to problem solve and use independent judgment required. Strong interpersonal and team building skills required. Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients. Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Modality Imaging Devices, Processors, Positioning Tables, ID Camera, Densitometer, Sensitometer, and Film Duplicator, Computer, Fax Machine, and Photocopier. Information Management software relating to patient care and reporting, i.e. (RIS) and Printers.
