Job Summary and Qualifications The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician. What you will do in this role: + You will compassionately assist and position patients. + You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary. + You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary. + You will release patients with proper post procedure instructions. + You will turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment. + You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

+ Graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology. + American Registry of Radiology Technology ( ARRT ) registered. + ARRT MR preferred upon hire or must become registry eligible for ARRT MR within 1 year of hire and must complete registry within the 6 months following. + BCLS required within 30 days of start date. + 2-3 years MRI experience preferred. + On Call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within one hour of call back.
