07/01/2026 Position Summary The Staff Radiologic Technologist performs portable diagnostic imaging services in accordance with physician orders, company protocols, and applicable regulatory requirements. This position is responsible for providing high-quality patient care and diagnostic imaging services while maintaining professionalism, ensuring timely reporting, and supporting BioTech X-Ray's commitment to being "Patient-First People." Staff Technologists are expected to work independently while maintaining effective communication with dispatch, supervisors, clients, and fellow team members. They are responsible for maintaining company equipment, vehicles, and supplies while ensuring compliance with company policies and all applicable federal and state regulations. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Primary Responsibilities Perform portable radiographic examinations and EKGs as assigned in accordance with physician orders and company protocols. Position patients appropriately and obtain high-quality diagnostic images. Ensure images are transmitted promptly to the interpreting radiologist or cardiologist for final interpretation. Burn images to CD and deliver images when required. Maintain accurate documentation of services performed. Complete assigned exams efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Ensure required orders and face sheets are uploaded promptly and accurately. Utilize downtime productively and remain available for additional assignments. Maintain company property, including vehicles, phones, imaging equipment, and supplies. Perform routine inspections of vehicles and equipment and promptly report deficiencies or repair needs. Customer Service Uphold BioTech X-ray's "Patient-First People" philosophy. Verify patient identity and explain procedures in a professional and compassionate manner. Provide exceptional service to patients, facility staff, and clients. Communicate effectively and professionally with dispatch, facility personnel, physicians, and coworkers. Demonstrate flexibility to meet operational and client needs. Quality and Compliance Follow all applicable federal, state, and company regulations. Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Follow infection control and safety standards at all times. Participate in training, quality improvement initiatives, and competency programs (including mentoring new technologists when requested). Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all work performed.
Supervisory Responsibilities N/A Qualifications Education and Certifications Required:
Current ARRT certification; Current state radiology licenses for all states served.
Experience Required:
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively as part of a team; Demonstrated organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
Preferred:
Experience in portable radiography; Prior experience in long-term care or mobile imaging environments. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Use of portable imaging equipment, computers, and phones. Requires driving company vehicles. Physical Requirements Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, kneel, push, and pull throughout the workday. Ability to lift/load and unload portable x-ray equipment weighing approximately 100 to 185 pounds (5-10 times per shift). Ability to maneuver portable equipment to the patient's bedside and transport equipment up/down up to eight (8) steps. Ability to position x-ray cassettes/digital receptors under patients, requiring lifting and repositioning patients of varying sizes. Ability to sit and drive for extended periods. Travel Requirements Travel is a primary requirement of the role. Must maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Must be physically able to drive approximately 3,000 to 6,000 miles per month. Must safely operate company vehicles and equipment.
